We went to Church!

We went to church Sunday and it felt great! Our church is following the states laws on this. Only 100 allowed each service and everyone has to wear a mask. Greeters checked you in with a barcode received online. No bulletins passed out though they were mailed out. I print mine out each week. Seats are spread out six feet away from your primary group which included my son and daughter in love. There was also no passing of offering plates, but buckets were at the exit doors, I pay online. Only one song at the beginning and one at the end. This is because things have to be sprayed down between services. Additional hand washing units are set up and sanitizer is everywhere.

Though we could not see smiles, you could joy in the eyes. Is was weird not being able to hug each other but we all accepted it. The worship team were and pastor Jim did not wear mask of course as there is plenty of space on the stage. Pastor is doing an end times series and he gave us all the verses about the Rapture. The last worship song was Way Maker and I love that song.

After church we stopped at a small taco shop and it was not busy because it was still early. We ate outside and tables were spaced about 8 feet apart.

I am typing this with one hand. My right hand is really hurting and I think it is arthritis over a tendon problem from over use. My doctor will be doing a telephone appointment later today. I hope it feels better by Wednesday. We sign our Trust documents with a notary on Wednesday. Please keep me in prayer. Thank you!

New Beginnings Community Church Service - Rapture

1. How many gravy boats do you have in your kitchen? No, but I have one in china hutch.

2. Do the clothes in your laundry basket need ironing? No, but I have some material I washed that needs ironing.

3. What is the last thing you wallpapered? I have never wallpapered.

4. Wooden floors or carpet? Both

5. Why do we put out guest towels if no one is supposed to use them? Tradition I guess. We have a paper towel holder.

6. If your spatula could talk, what would it say about your duvet? You don't fit.

7. Have you replaced the batteries in your smoke alarms this year? My husband has.

8. If you could put thyme in a bottle, what is the first thing that you'd like to do? Use it.

9. Do eggs really crack or do they merely have a nervous breakdown? They crack up when I want them to.

10. Why are you whipping the butter? What did it ever do to you? Landed on my belly.

11. Do your spoons spoon in the drawer? Have you ever noticed? And more importantly, if wooden spoons spoon do they get splinters? Yes they like to spoon and only one wooden spoon with no splinters.

12. You hear: "Dumpling, my Dumpling, come hither." The candles are lit, the fondue is dipping, the Godiva is pouring, the scallions are steaming and the music is playing.....but wait, the windows are open. Why did you close them? I will pass on this one.

13. Do you need a recipe to cook or are you a bohemian chef? Depends on what I am making. When I am working with essential oils yes. New recipes, yes, my recipes, no.

14. Is your pot black? Yes it is.

15. What is the sexiest spice or condiment in your cabinet? What makes it so? Black pepper. It gives me a slight kick!

Now to something that makes more sense.
Hubby and I went to Old Town Orange for lunch. We ate outside in the patio and the weather was great! Then we went shopping at one of our favorite Antique Stores. Mask were required but we were not in there too long.

Saturday 9: The Rain, The Park, and Other Things (1967)

It's just amazing how a song can transport you back to the past. I was going into 7th grade in 1967. So many things were going on back then, hHe VietNam war, the Hippie movement and me leaving my Tomboy days to enter Jr. High. Music is the one thing that gave me joy. Well some songs make me cry. I remember the song San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair) I was in 7th grade and my PE helper had just found out her brother was being sent to Vietnam. She was crying and then we were all crying. It also reminds me of the Hippie movement and we all had the leather moccasins, vest, Cord on our forehead and the peace sign.



1) The Cowsills were a family band who had three hit singles. Can you name another group of popular singing siblings? Jackson 5, The Osmonds, The Beach Boys, The Katina's , Sister Sledge, The Andrew Sisters, The Bee Gees, The Delfonics, The Whispers, The Jets, The Pointer Sisters. The Carpenters

2) This was their first hit, and it reached #2 on the Billboard charts. It was kept out of the #1 slot by the Monkees and "Daydream Believer." What's your favorite Monkees song? I'm a Believer. I had my first boyfriend back then. I think I was in 7th grade. Last Train to Clarkville, I Wanna Be Free.


3) After seeing the Cowsill brothers perform with their mother and sister, TV producers were inspired to create the sitcom, The Partridge Family. Did you ever watch it? Yes I did along with my siblings.

4) In the song, the narrator takes a flower from a girl in the park. Are there flowers in your home right now? Yes I grow roses and my plumerias are budding.

5) He isn't sure if the girl was real, or if he dreamed her. Tell us about a recent dream you had. I had a vivid dream of being served tea and the names of the teabags were called, House, Wisdom and discernment.I was troubled when I went to bed and prayed about it. I am going o do a word study on the words.

6) At the height of the Cowsills' popularity, they were hired by the American Dairy Association to promote drinking milk. If we were to peek into your refrigerator right now, would we find any milk? Yes Lactaid and almond milk.

7) After the band stopped performing together, John Cowsill went on to become a back up musician for the Beach Boys. His job has kept him on the road much of the time. When you travel, do you enjoy staying in hotels, or would you rather stay with friends/family? We always stay in hotels. We co own a Marriott time share with my son. We are suppose to go back to Lake Tahoe in the fall.

8) In 1967, the year this song was popular, Elvis married Priscilla in Las Vegas. Have you attended any weddings yet this year? Are there any weddings in your future? Nope.
