Cruise 2025 Day 5


  We got up at 6:30 and I took this picture. 
You can us approaching the town.

We stopped at the buffet for breakfast.


The 1964 Oscar nominated movie Night of the Iguana
was filmed here in 1964 by director John Huston
Puerto Vallarta is two hours ahead of our Pacific Standard Time.



Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe built between 1930-1940
at the Town Square and just a few blocks from the ocean.
There is a big annual celebration on December 12.
The decorations were still up when we were there.















Next stop. We got some gifts for our family from here.

We stopped by a little plaza that had a few shops.
Hubby bought me a cross made out of fire opal.

Just had to get these parrot pictures that we paid $5.00 for. 



Back on the bus to our next stop.

We got back to the ship around 3 and decided to rest a bit in our room, 
then get ready for our dinner reservations at Sabatino's.













Warm bread and Sicilian rice balls scented with black truffles, 
filled with mozzarella and served with tomato herb sauce


Hubby had the Antipasto salad

I had the Ribollita- a Tuscan inspired soup with Canelli beans and kale in a rich broth.


I had the Lobster filled Tortellini with a creamy lobster sauce.

Hubby had Ossobuco Milanese(braised veal shank in a lemon herb, 
parsley and garlic sauce on a bed of saffron risotto.

 For dessert, we shared the Chef's Special a dessert sample of 
Rocher(like the Ferrer Rocher chocolate), Tiramisu
Vanilla Panna Cota (blueberry compote on almond shortbread) and Fresh berries.
It was all so good and I am glad we shared!!
