I remember how I felt that day when I hear about the Twin Towers and NY. I was on the other side of the states and had never been to NY. But I felt deeply saddened that the US, my home was attacked. I felt the same way watching the news on Jan. 6 when the People's House was attacked. It was so hard to see knowing that we were attacked by the enemy within our country, not foreigners. I don't think the US. will ever be the same. Unlike 911, we have not come together.
Just like back then and now, I am praying to God for His will. Luke 11:17 “Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.” Sadly, we see this happening now. But what many don't see is that the real enemy is enjoying this division, because he is the mastermind of hate. If people are busy pointing the finger at each other, they are taking their eyes off the teachings of Jesus and are blinded by the lies of the enemy. I am not giving up. I love this nation and will continue to pray. God is in control and we may not understand what is going on, but we have to put our trust in Him and follow the teachings of Jesus. God is love.
My two older grandkids go to public school. My grand daughter is in choir and they sang for the assembly. They sang The Star Spangled Banner to remember Patriot's Day. My grandkids will be in New York this winter and will get to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Freedom Tower. We will not forget.
