So thankful for memories.....

So thankful for memories.... How many of us remember the day man walked on the moon? I do. I was at youth group and someone brought in a small television and we all huddled around it to watch this amazing event. Every time I look at a full moon, I think about that day. Earlier in the month I went outside to take a picture of the "Snowmoon" I read about it on Facebook. I used my Cannon zoom and I had to set myself up to be in a place I could keep my camera steady. Here is my picture.

So thankful I can read the Bible! I have just started an in depth study of the Bible called Journey through the Bible. I have read the Bible 3 times. But this time I will be really digging into the Word. I feel like I am back in college taking Art History. Lots of reading, studying, word mapping, Greek and Hebrew meanings and more. Before starting, we were asked to read Psalm 119 and ask God to open our eyes to this study.
As some of you know, I like Bible journaling and 4 years ago I started doing this with my cousin. There are so many things I could say about this but I will leave it at this. God colors my world. "In the beginning, God created"............everything!

After looking at the moon, I had to find this picture. It was released in May of 1968 to honor Apollo 8 for orbiting the moon. How amazing to think that a few months later man would walk on the moon!
So thankful to be able to fly! Not only does God create, He allow man to create. God allows man to take a gigantic heavy piece of metal with people, luggage and fuel, defy gravity and fly for hours for our benefit and pleasure. I was so afraid to fly for so long until I gave that fear to God. Man might get to go back to the moon someday. But I think it is more important to get to Heaven. Meanwhile I will be looking at that bright moon in the sky and praising the Eternal One who made it!

So thankful that I can share this with my grandkids!
