Cruise 2025 Day 1

We took our cruise to the Mexican Riviera on the Discovery Princess. We left on January 4th from the Los Angeles cruise port located in San Pedro which is actually about 40 minutes from Los Angeles and about 45 minutes from our home. Several ships go to the Mexican Riviera, but according to our Triple A  sales representative, this ship is a bit upscale and caters more to an older crowd with great service, food and entertainment. There are newer and bigger ship that cater more to families, but this was more for us.

After coming in, we took a picture with the Pizza behind us.

We found our Muster station and checked in with our Medallion.
Then we headed to the elevator to our room. We used hubby's Medallion
to check the virtual map/info screen and this came up.
Mine said the same thig with my name.

As you approach your room, the welcome sign said hi and the door opened.
We forgot to take a picture of it, but here is one from the web.

This was our mini suite and we surprised to see how roomy it was.

The regular room has a shower. The suite comes with the tub.

After looking at our room, we decided to eat lunch in the Ketchikan Dining Room.

Our luggage had arrived and we asked the guy to take a picture of us.
After the attendant left, we had to unpack everything and that took awhile.
Then we got ready for our dinner.

We had to watch the mustard station safety video.
The room tv then let marked us completed the video.

We took this picture before we left our cabin.

We took the elevator down to the 7th floor to eat at the Crown Grill.

Hubby had French onion soup, and I had a Cesar salad with anchovies to start.

I got the New Zeeland lamb chops with rosemary sauce
and hubby got Crown Grill Surf and Turf with filet mignon.
We also got a side of asparagus, mushrooms and creamed spianch.
It was all so good, but we had to take some meat back to the room.

We shared the Salted Caramel Creme Brulee for dessert, and it was so good!

Later hubby picked these desserts up at the
International Cafe.

After all that food, we headed over to the theater to catch the rest of the show

This lady sang popular songs from Diana Ross and Whitney Houston.

Your photos are wonderful. The meals look great and I think the room was a nice size. Thank you so much for sharing.
