2. Whether you believe in astrology or not, you do have a "sign". What is yours and do you fit the description in any way? I am a Leo. August 12 (July 23-August 22)I was also born a couple of weeks early and could have been a Virgo. I have traits from both.
3. Do you stay up late to watch meteorite showers or crane your head to see the clouds in the daytime? I was really interested in astronomy as a child and even thought I wanted to be an astronomer. I love to look at the clouds. I take pictures of them and remember learning about the different cloud types as a child. I use to wake up early to see meteorite showers, but I can't throw my head back anymore because it hurts my neck. I go out to see the full moons and take pictures. When I look up at the sky, I think of God.
Genesis 1:14 "Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years. 15 Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened. 16 God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, 18 to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good."
I also think about humans from ancient days. They spent hours looking up at the sky. I am sure they had great views of the night sky without pollution and bright lights that we have today. History record how the planets and stars guided many journeys. And the biblical story of the night baby Jesus was born an a bright star lit the sky. This really made me think and I had to look up the difference between astronomy as astrology . "Astronomy is a science that studies everything outside of the earth's atmosphere, such as planets, stars, asteroids, galaxies; and the properties and relationships of those celestial bodies. ... Astrology, on the other hand, is the belief that the positioning of the stars and planets affect the way events occur on earth."
4. Do you think money is wasted on the space program that might be better used on earth? It certainly does cost a lot of money for space exploration and yes I think it could be better used here on earth. But I do understand how the United States wants to keep up with other countries in space exploration. I remember being in grade school(1962) school and hearing how John Glenn was orbiting the earth. I also remember being at church youth group and watching Neil Armstrong walk on the moon in July of 1969. As long as God allows mankind to defy the law of gravity and fly in space, it will continue.
