Life has been so busy the past few months! Christmas has now come and gone. One thing has really made me think about life lately and that is the loss of a couple of online friends. I never met them, but I knew them for over 15 years because of this thing we call the computer. Back in the day we all had our little country web homes on the net. We shared stories about our life, encouraged one another had did fun things with our pages. Then Facebook came along and it took over our country webhomes. So many went to Blogger to have a home, after all it was free. Toni was a graphic artist and did great things with her Blogger page. Marge missed her web home and brought it back and she and I visited each other's pages and talked about the fun we had and the friends we net.
Toni really took to Facebook and was a great at sharing the Word, inspirational things. She loved the Peanuts Gang just like me. Toni shared her story of cancer. She shared her faith in God and her struggle with it through her many poems. I enjoyed reading them at her blog and on Instagram and saved many of them. I was so sad when I heard she had past. She had just emailed me her address to send her a Christmas card and I did. Sadly she died around the time the card was delivered and never saw it. She was a special lady and I will miss her.
When I was trying to sell my home back in 2015, Marge sent me a little statuette and told me to bury it. I thought it was so thoughtful my house did sell. I noticed that Marge was not posting as much and tagged her a few times. Then one day I got a response from her son she passed in November. I was so sad that I did not know she was sick. I wish I would have sent her a card sooner.
Now that the business of Christmas is over, I want to reflect and take note about the important things in life. Spending time with the Lord and sharing His story with my family, most importantly with my grandkids. I got them all Bibles for Christmas and I plan to spend time with them reading it and illustrating our faith(Bible Journaling). I pray the Lord will help me prioritize my time as we enter the new year. I won't focus as much on how much time I have left. I will try to make the most of the time the Lord gives me. I told my family on Christmas morning, there is only one thing we take when we leave this earth, the Word of God that we have hidden in our hearts. Here is a graphic Toni sent me and poem she shared on Instagram
